Diabetes can be very hard to deal with even without pregnancy, and when pregnant moms get gestational diabetes, it is even harder to deal with and has double the risk.
Here is an informational video about gestational diabetes and what we can do about it.

Diabetes is something very complicated. Gestational diabetes is different from normal diabetes, but it is very risky and even more dangerous.

My sister had gestational diabetes, and throughout her pregnancy she pricks her finger 9 times per day and has insulin 5 times a day. A lot of needles! :(

Uncontrolled gestational diabetes increases the risk for preterm labor and delivery, preeclampsia, and high blood pressure. Preeclampsia is a syndrome marked by a sudden increase in the blood pressure of a pregnant woman after the 20th week of pregnancy.
